6 heirloom tomatoes (choose a variety of colors)
4 ounces good quality extra virgin olive oil
2 ounces basil, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut the baguette on the bias, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 - 10 minutes until golden.
Dice the tomatoes and season them with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and half the basil. Garnish each crostini with the tomato bruschetta and top with the remaining basil.
