4 cups uncooked oats
3/4 cup wheat germ
3/4 cup oat bran
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup diced dates
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine oats, wheat germ, oat bran, pecans, almonds and sunflower seeds in a large bowl.
Spread out on to a large baking sheet with sides or jellyroll pan lined with foil.
Stir together brown sugar, salt, syrup, oil, cinnamon, and vanilla in a medium size saucepan.
Heat on medium heat until hot and sugar is dissolved.
Pour over oat mixture, stir and spread out evenly.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring half way through.
Cool and stir in cranberries and dates.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
