1 pound lean ground beef
½ pound ground pork
1 (2-ounce) jar sliced pimiento, drained
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup finely chopped onion
½ cup shredded carrot
¼ cup chili sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chopped garlic (about 2 cloves)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon fennel seeds
¼ teaspoon allspice
¼ teaspoon pepper
In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, eggs, pimiento, oats, onion, carrot, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chopped garlic, salt, thyme, fennel seeds, allspice and pepper; blend well.
Form mixture into a loaf in a 2-quart oblong or 8-inch square baking dish.
