FAQs

What is an Ombudsperson?
An ombudsperson is an unbiased, confidential and informal facilitator who responds to integrity concerns and facilitates investigations of potential policy violations. They advocate for fairness, equity and compliance in the workplace. 

What issues should I report?
You can ask a question or report a concern relating to GE Appliances' Code of Ethics, Policies, or Procedures. This information will be confidential and subject to GE Appliances' Data Protection standards. 

Why do I have to create a password?
Using a password in combination with your access code allows you to see updates about your case or communicate with the Ombuds team even if you submit the case anonymously. No personally identifiable information is required when creating a password. 

What happens after I make a report?
Information you share will be treated with confidentiality and subject to GE Appliances’ Data Privacy Policy. Concerns are investigated thoroughly, and if the allegation is proven to be true based on facts obtained during the investigation, corrective actions will be recommended. We do not tolerate any form of retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith. 

What if I am a customer experiencing issues with my appliance? 
Please click here for the available methods for contacting Consumer Relations. Scroll down to "Email" and select "Appliance Complaint" under "Reason for Message" to submit your concern. You will be contacted within 24-48 hours from our Consumer Relations team.
