Ingredients:

1 box brownie mix (or your favorite homemade brownie recipe)

Cake pop or doughnut hole pan

24 chocolate kiss-shaped candies, unwrapped

12 ounces brown melting chocolate wafers

3 ounces white melting chocolate wafers

1 piping bag or zip top plastic bag

2 teaspoons coconut oil (optional)

Method:

Prepare your brownie batter according to the package directions. Fill the cake pop or doughnut hole pan, making sure to fill the pan cups to the top. Brownie dough won't rise as much as cake batter. Bake as directed, then cool the brownies for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Melt 3 ounces of the brown melting chocolate wafers in a small microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until melted.

Use the melted chocolate as a base to glue a chocolate kiss to the end of each cake or brownie ball and place on a baking sheet. Chill in the freezer for 5 minutes before continuing.

Melt the remaining brown chocolate wafers in a large microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between until melted. If the candy coating is too thick, you can add a teaspoon or two of coconut oil to thin it out.

Dunk the brownie ball into the melted chocolate and pour chocolate over to ensure complete coverage. Place on a wire rack to drain or wax paper lined baking sheet.

Allow each ball to sit for 10 - 15 minutes until firm.

When the football cakes have set up, melt the white chocolate wafers in a small microwave-safe bowl.

Pour the white chocolate into a piping bag (or a zip top plastic bag with the corner snipped off). Decorate the cooled football-shaped treats with white laces.

Chef's Notes:

You can use cake mix instead of brownie mix for this recipe. A standard box cake (2 layers) will make twice the number of treats.
