Green Bean Casserole
2 (16-oz.) pkgs. frozen French-style green beans, thawed
1 (10 ¾-oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 (2-oz.) jar sliced pimiento, drained
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 (3-oz.) can French-fried onions, coarsely crushed
Combine beans, soup, milk, pimiento, salt and pepper.
Spoon mixture into a 2-quart oblong or 8-inch square baking dish.
Cook according to your Advantium model's cooking settings until bubbly.
Sprinkle with onions after 20 minutes of cooking time.
It is difficult to improve on this old favorite, but this variation is a flavorful change. Use 1 can cream of celery soup instead of mushroom soup. Replace the pimiento with an 8-ounce can of sliced water chestnuts, drained.
